The Association of Marketing and Opinion Researchers (TAMOR),
established in 1988 by Nezih NEYZI, has as its aim to gather people working in
marketing research sector in
The Association further aims to increase the usage of market research
in economic and social subjects that guide managers’ decisions in private
industry as well as public sector.
In order to improve the quality of work in our sector we are bringing
quality standards. Compliance with those standards is being audited by
independent parties.
In 2006, the first corporate membership application was started. The
number of active individual members was 469 and the number of corporate was
around 74 (The total number of corporate member representatives is
102).

Seminars & Publications
Our educational seminars are divided into four parts: Gaining basic
skills, consolidating, specializing and personal & sectoral development.
Packet seminars created economical solutions for staff improvement. Research
organizations and research users bought packet educational seminars. Our
educational seminars are being generated as a source, education and improvement
in the research sector.
22 educational seminars were realized by our Association in 2007.
GAB (Güvenilir Arastirma Belgesi / Trustworthy Research Certificate)
GAB certificate application that was created according to the
Association’s mission & strategies and to give benefit to ‘marketing
research’ clients during their decision making process was started to be used in
2007.
The main aim was to determine the professional standards that are
accepted by the sector, and to guide and encourage all the concerned parties
that purchase or conduct market research to attain this
level.
Research organizations apply for GAB after the audit of Bureau
Veritas to certify that the standards have been adhered to. In this manner, a
concrete certificate will demonstrate that research companies follow the rules.
Researchers’ Association recommends working with Research and Field
Organizations that are GAB certified.
At the end of October 2007; The Research and Field organizations that
hold GAB was announced. Announcements were published in Hürriyet and Milliyet
newspaper, and monthly economy magazine Capital, and also Marketing Türkiye,
MediaCat and MediaThink. “GAB information” news was published in many press
publications.
The
Criteria for obtaining the GAB Certificate;

The official certificate that will be given by TAMOR to the organizations
which have the right to obtain the Güvenilir Arastirma brand.
