History, Aims &
Objectives
APODEMO was established to represent, study and
defend the interests of its members and promote their common opinions on matters
of concern to market research.
Its main objectives are:
To contribute to
the modernisation and development of opinion and market research
To promote
the trust in those studies by its users and the public in general.
To
contribute to the establishment of high quality and ethical
standards.
Membership
The criteria to become a
member of the Association are:
to be a corporation with the aim of financial
gain;
to have as its main activity the conduct of polls and market
research;
to have carried out the activity for at least one year;
to
formally adopt the ICC/ESOMAR International Code of Marketing and Social
Research;
Practice and other directives of this international
organization;
Codes &
Standards
ICC/ESOMAR International Code of Marketing and Social
Research Practice. Adherence to this code is mandatory for all members of
APODEMO.
Conferences, Courses and Activities
For the year 2006 the
main goals of the Association are:
To promote events and training courses
in the area of marketing research in universities and similar
entities.
To be aware and participate in
EFRAMO’s activities.
To make good use of
all opportunities in order to give more visibility to APODEMO,
namely when we
are asked to pronounce ourselves on subjects regarding this sector.
To reinforce ties with other national and
international market research companies, namely AEDEMO and APPM.
