EFAMRO welcomes Belgian and Swiss Associations
efamro, the European Research Federation, is pleased to welcome two new members, Febelmar, the Belgian Federation of Market Research Institutes, and vsms-asms, the Swiss Market and Social Research Association.
Febelmar was founded in 1980 and represents 33 research businesses. vsms-asms was founded in 1998 and represents 34 research businesses as well as over 300 individual researchers.
Commenting on efamro’s latest expansion, Andrew Cannon, efamro President, said, “efamro members are developing a comprehensive programme of work to support national associations, so that they can be as effective as possible in serving their members. We are delighted by this vote of confidence by Febelmar and vsms-asms and I wholeheartedly welcome them to the federation.”
efamro now connects over 900 businesses in 14 countries, and is part of the Global Research Business Network which links 31 associations and 2800 businesses on five continents.
Johan Schockaert, President of Febelmar commented, “Being part of efamro gives Febelmar the opportunity to get in touch with other national federations, to share ideas and best practices. That’s the return we expect for the members of Febelmar.”
Roland Rosset, President of vsms-asms commented, “For Swiss research businesses and researchers, as well as for vsms-asms as an association, it is very important to be internationally well connected. Even though European regulations are not necessarily compulsory for Switzerland, it is essential for us to be up-to-date what concerns them. We are anxious to exchange experiences with other efamro members in order to affect the Swiss regulations and developments in a positive way.”
