efamro, the European Research Federation, is pleased to welcome two new members, AIMRO, the Association of Irish Market Research Organisations and BAMOR, the Bulgarian Association of Marketing and Opinion Researchers.
AIMRO was established in January 1993 to represent the interests of the market research profession in the Republic of Ireland. AIMRO currently represents 10 research businesses. BAMOR was founded in December 2009 to promote the importance of market and opinion polls in solving real problems and making better decisions. BAMOR currently represents 13 research businesses.
Commenting the new members, Andrew Cannon, efamro President, said, “For nearly 20 years, AIMRO has promoted and advanced the business of research in Ireland. Less than three years ago, research businesses in Bulgaria came together to form BAMOR. Our new members illustrate the continued importance and relevance of national research associations. We look forward to their contribution and to supporting them as they develop in the future.”
Tim Healy, Chairman of AIMRO commented, “We are delighted that AIMRO will be joining forces with so many similar bodies around Europe and trust that we can contribute and benefit in equal measure from our efamro membership.”
Stoyan Mihaylov, Chairman of BAMOR commented, “We are really delighted to join efamro, as its expertise will allow us to solve some immediate tasks of our young association. We will further benefit from the experience in implementation of the industry standards, the information and support efamro offers in case of public affairs issues, the exchange of ideas and best practices with the colleagues from the other associations. All that will help us to facilitate the business of our members, and provide better services to our clients”.
